  • The therapist then induces the state of hypnotic trance and gets access to the client’s subconscious. This gives great insight about the issues and helps the hypnotist plan the next course of action.
  • After determining the thought patterns of the subconscious mind, the client is asked to visualize. This can be a simple exercise where a client imagines himself/herself to be in the stressful situation. By exploring the situation like this, the client is able to assess the environmental stimuli causing it and his/her responses to it.

10 Ways to Live a Balanced Lifestyle

1: Practice Gratitude

While some may view this as touchy feely, new age, hippie garbage, nothing could be further from the truth. The benefits of practicing gratitude on a daily basis are remarkable and can significantly improve your life. Take a short amount of time out of your busy day – 10 minutes is all that’s needed – to reflect honestly upon the countless positive things in your life that you may unwittingly take for granted. Doing so will give you a more positive outlook, eliminate stress, relieve tension, improve sleep patterns, and clarify goals.

2: Maintain Healthy Habits

Have you ever noticed that most, if not all, of the most well-known entrepreneurs keep a daily workout routine involving running or lifting weights. Many also boast the benefits of juicing and eating foods that promote mental clarity and maintain energy levels. This is no accident. Healthy habits keep your body and mind in optimal condition while helping you to maintain a normal and consistent daily routine. Such consistency allows for the accumulation of small amounts of work over time to turn into big successes.

3: Balance Work and Leisure

Sometimes we get so caught up in our goals that we forget to set time aside to take care of ourselves and our loved ones. Being balanced means remembering what all the work is for in the first place. We can grind day and night so long as we put forth the necessary time and effort in not neglecting our health, our significant others, our children, or our beloved hobbies. After all, what exactly are you working towards? Money is only one variable in the equation.

4: Know There’s Only So Much That Can Get Done in a Day

Many people are guilty of writing mile-long “to-do” lists. These lists are generally brought on as the result of stress or an impulsive burst of motivation and are made with the best intentions. The problem is we can only carry out so many tasks in a given day. Long “to-do” lists set us up for disappointment because they can rarely be completed. Narrow down your list into specific goal-oriented tasks. Cut out the fat and avoid busy work that will make you feel productive but doesn’t really get you anywhere. Work hard on that short list of tasks. Do all you can to get it done. At the end of the day be proud of what you accomplished. Recognize your progress. If you didn’t get it all done don’t fret. Put it on tomorrow’s list and make it a priority.

5: Celebrate Effort Regardless of the Outcome

People who live a balanced lifestyle understand that success doesn’t lie in the result of hard work, but in the work itself. Knowing this fact makes it effort rewarding even when things don’t turn out the way we want, and make us feel accomplished even the case of a less-than stellar outcome. When we make mistakes or fall short on execution, we learn from it and do a better job next time. If we train ourselves to think this way the real reward – so far as our minds see it – will come from the pursuit of our goals, and success will be all but inevitable.

6: Maintain Focus

Keep your mind and energy focused on the task at hand. This is easier said than done but with the implementation of certain techniques it can be made a whole lot easier. Set aside your phone or other electronics when needed. Find a designated work zone such as an office where distractions are minimized. Give yourself a deadline to get the task completed. Practice recognizing when your mind wanders, and tell it to hold that thought

7: Be willing to Lend a Helping Hand

The ability to put yourself in other peoples shoes and see things from their perspective is a valuable one. This not only is helpful in business, but is also quite beneficial for our emotional well-being. Being interested in other people makes us more likely to help when we can. Those of us with big goals can unwittingly become self-absorbed, forgetting that the greatest gift in the world is the gift of giving. No amount of money or success can replace the satisfaction of helping another.

8: Seeing the Glass as Half-Full

Another one that may stand to be called new age nonsense but again is absolutely true. A healthy degree of optimism is critical to a balanced lifestyle. Staying positive is a way to focus on looking not just at the upside of a given situation, but also on finding solutions to the problems we and others face and keeping ourselves on track towards our goals. Optimists tend be less tolerant of negativity and will stay away from people who spend too much of their time gossiping and complaining, opting instead to surround themselves with other positive people. Energy feeds off of energy.

9: Refuse to Worry (Too Much)

Worrying about the possible disappointments or failures of the future is about the biggest waste of time in the world. So many people with an abundance of potential are crippled by their habit of worrying. It is natural that we have a certain degree of wariness of the unknown, that is just the minds way of protecting us. If we allow worry to control us, however, we are liable to stay in our comfort zones and pour all of our potential success down the drain. You have too much to offer to throw it all away based on imaginary fears. Keep in mind that the majority of the things (approximately 92%) of the things we worry about never happen. SO keep yourself busy, and if you find yourself worrying just acknowledge it, embrace it and move on from it.

10: Learn to Adapt to Change

Things are bound to happen that are completely outside of our control. Understanding habits is to understand how fragile they are. So it is totally natural to want to resist change, which often elicits emotional responses such as anger, depression or withdrawal. As well-balanced people, we have to learn to make the best out of whatever situation we are in. Our work ethic, personality, gratitude, drive and health should not be dependent on circumstance.

6 Tips For Insane Productivity And Laser Focus

(1.) Set only 2 to 3 Results-Oriented Tasks Per Day:

Spreading yourself too thin and not being able to accomplish your tasks is very discouraging. How long is your to do list on a daily basis? Mine used to be 10, 15, or even 20 bullets long. That isn’t uncommon.

We’re trained from a young age to treat our daily tasks as chores and given no option but to get them done. Pressure to complete an overflowing list of things is only exacerbated as we get older and go to school, college, get a job, and so on. One thing that changed my life and exponentially increased my productivity was when I began to ask myself this question on a daily basis: “What are the two most important thins I can do TODAY that will make me feel fulfilled?”

It sounds silly but if you are able to narrow that down it will not only lift a shit ton of weight off your shoulder, it will make your day infinitely easier and more focused. Stay on track to get only those two things done and block everything else out (for now).

(2.) Give Yourself Deadlines:

Once you’ve decided on a set of tasks, the next critical step is to allot yourself a very specific amount of time to complete each of them.

Instead of spending all day writing a blog, losing track and deciding to finish it later, or wasting half a day trying to send out 30 emails, give yourself a timeline. Try completing one blog in one hour, or creating a five sentence template email to send to everyone and just fill in the blanks in 2 hours.

If you have a deadline in mind, that time crunch will give you all the motivation you need to get the job done. Don’t underestimate yourself and don’t take for granted that less time spent on work means more time spent living.

(3.) Don’t Check Emails or Social Media While Working:

It’s amazing just how addicting social media and emails can be. One could really write a compelling report comparing social media to drug addiction and it would be very well received. During work, when trying to finish a project, or at home watching tv or eating dinner, how often do you find yourself scrolling through Facebook, Instagram and your email inbox?

It has become an involuntary reflex when we get bored or off task and we are all guilty of it. I have actually caught myself in the past closing my Facebook app and reopening right back up without realizing it.

The problem is that social media and email leads to two things; procrastination and stress. Procrastination because you are putting off what needs to be done, what is truly important. If you creating things to do that are not essential to achieving a goal, or if you are just passing time when you know your time could be better spent working on more critical tasks, then you are not being effective or efficient. Stress because you will often find work or business related messages that dampen your day and cause anxiety.

The truth is that nothing is so important that it can’t wait a while and if you
become that person that isn’t going to try fix everyone’s problems, they miraculously find a way to fix it themselves and they no longer bother you.

Funny how that works.

(4.) Do What Scares You First:

Our emotions are there for a reason and we have to learn to allow them to work for us rather than against us. This is done by forming habits.

Basic military training is meant to exist as an instrument of habit alteration. The natural inclination of every new recruit when being shot at would be to run for cover, but the military must train every one of them to face their enemy and shoot back.

Additionally, new recruits are put in positions where they are told to accomplish a task and sent off, but they are given no instruction regarding how the task should be accomplished. This programs them to be able to make quick decisions and act on them, to become quick on their feet and self-sustaining.

When we feel fear about something it is likely because that particular thing is exactly what we need to be doing. Don’t create meaningless tasks to avoid that which you are afraid of. Instead, conquer your fear.

It is the only way to make progress and avoid stagnation.

(5.) Eat Light Meals and Eat Well:

Eating large meals requires a large amount of oxygen in your bloodstream to be redirected to your digestive organs in order to break down that food, robbing your brain of the oxygen supply it requires for optimal performance.

When we eat a big meal we tend to feel slow, sluggish and sleepy afterwards, hindering performance and dampening motivation. If your goal is to be as productive as possible, it is a better idea to eat small meals and more frequently. So rather than eating three large meals a day, or like many people do only one or two, you should aim to eat 5 to 6 meals a day – one meal every 2 to 3 hours. This is also beneficial in promoting lean muscle mass and fat loss, as protein is not stored in the body and needs to be consumed regularly.

Eating unhealthy meals loaded with innumerable chemicals and preservatives causes a plethora of harmful effects on your health. It also deprives you of many of the vitamins and nutrients that naturally enhance brain function, increase energy and vitality, and reduce anxiety. There is a reason for the old adage “eat your vegetables”.

(6.) Take Dedicated Breaks:

Take the time to unwind. Much like physical fitness, working out your brain is a breakdown effect. The brain, just like all muscle, can only recuperate during periods of rest.

Rest allows you to come back and fight another day, even making you strong, better, and faster. In other words, getting the proper amount of rest will make you more productive.

A little bit of relaxation (30 to 60 minutes) at the end of your day provides the endurance and motivation to go hard at it the next day.

5 Steps to Creating Your Dream Life

You did not come to face reality, you came to create reality.” – Abraham-Hicks

Take a moment and imagine your very best life: you live in your dream house, you have a loving partner, a healthy body, fulfilling work, supportive family and friends, and more than enough money to meet all your needs and wants.

How does your current reality compare with the life you just imagined? Does it even come close? If not, it’s time to make some changes!

You are continually in the process of creating your life experiences, but most people are unaware of their power and are creating unconsciously, by default. As long as you believe that anyone or anything outside of you is controlling you, you will operate more from habit, or influence, and continue on in sameness.

You are not at the mercy of your circumstances. You were born a creator and have the power to shift and mold your reality into the life of your dreams.

Here are the 5 important steps to create your life intentionally:

1. Learn How Deliberate Creation Works

Deliberate creation is the intentional focus on something that is wanted with the purpose of creating a desired outcome. The process consists of 3 basic steps:

  1. Ask for what you want
  2. Believe that it is coming to you
  3. Allow it and receive it

Everyone is a creator and has the power to create. By learning to harness this power through awareness and conscious involvement in the creation process, you can become a creator who has consistent results and a life of your own choosing. Your life can be an ongoing journey of fulfillment and joy, rather than one of only occasional moments of fleeting happiness or temporary satisfaction.

Deliberate creation allows you to truly live rather than merely exist. You no longer feel like you are the victim of your circumstances because you are in the driver’s seat and are in full control of the vehicle.

2. Connect With Your Inner Being

One of the most important steps of successful deliberate creation, the one that most teachers fail to tell you about, is to consciously connect with your Inner Being (also known as your Higher Self or Soul).

This non-physical part of you is always with you, loves you unconditionally, and is in every moment guiding you to your very best life. Your Inner Being is your expanded, loving, and compassionate self. It is the wise teacher within you that knows everything about you, including why you have the challenges you have. Your Inner Being is the essence of who-you-really-are, has no limits, and assists you in knowing your true identity.

As a deliberate creator, connecting with your Inner Being is crucial to creating your life on purpose. You may have some degree of success on your own but without this connection, there will be limits to what you can accomplish, and your life experience will be less meaningful, less satisfying, and considerably less productive. Making this conscious connection is the key to creating a spectacular life with consistent results because you are tapping into to the greater power and infinite wisdom of the Universe.

3. Get Clear on What You Want

It is through your dreams and desires that you grow and evolve. You are an eternal being and will forever have desires. It is a key element in the expansion of life; not only yours, but also the Universe. Without desire, you cannot evolve and would cease to exist.

Your dreams and desires may come to fruition eventually on their own without deliberate intent, but why leave it to chance when you can manifest what you want more quickly? This is where clarity comes in. Getting clear and focusing on exactly what you want to create in your life speeds up the process.

Consider each of the following areas of your life and write a list of what you want:

  • Your Values: What is most important to you – success, freedom, happiness? Identifying your values will help you to get clear on the essence of what you want and will serve as the foundation for your dream life. If you do not have the life you want, you are probably living from a different set of values than is required for what you want. Consider reprioritizing your top values to create more of what you most want.
  • Ideal Self: Identifying the traits of your ideal self will help you to reclaim your true identity and align you with the person your were born to be.
  • Health and body: What is your ideal for your health and body? How much do you weigh? What kinds of foods do you eat? Do you exercise? If so, how and how often? How do you feel physically? What do you look like?
  • Financial Abundance: What does your ideal financial situation look like? How much money do you make? What are your sources of income? How much money do you have in your savings account? Do you invest?
  • Career: What is your ideal work situation? Do you work with others or alone? Are you your own boss, maybe an entrepreneur? What activities are you doing? What skills do you use?
  • Intimate Relationship: Think about your ideal intimate relationship, how does it look and feel? What does your lover look like? What character traits does he/she have? What kinds of things do you do together? How do you feel when you’re with him/her?
  • Other Relationships: What does your ideal relationship with others (family members, friends, co-workers) look like? How do you feel in these relationships?
  • Home Environment: Where do you live? Who do you live with? What kind of house do you have? How many bedrooms and bathrooms? How do you feel at home?
  • Spiritual Life: What are your spiritual beliefs? What activities do you do (meditation, attend church, etc.)?
  • Fun and Recreation: What activities do you do for fun? Where are you? Who is with you?

Add or change things on your lists as you think of them. Over time your vision will become more and more clear until eventually your life will begin to unfold as you have described.

4. Release Resistance

Resistance is the only thing that prevents you from having what you want and living your best life. It comes in the form of belief in lack, scarcity, or unworthiness. Negative emotions such as anger, fear, frustration, etc. is a signal from your Inner Being that you are in a state of resistance. If you catch it in the early stages, before the momentum gets going, it’s easy to shift back in to allowing and in the direction of what you want.

Resistance lowers your vibration and slows your energy down, which in turn slows down your manifestations. In order for the Universe to deliver what you want, it has to receive a positive energetic signal and an open channel to receive.

Since releasing resistance raises your vibration, it is worth taking the time to let go of anything that is not for your highest good, such as negative emotions and old limiting beliefs. When you’re in a high vibrational state, you feel more aware, connected, energized, and tuned in.

Here are the 3 most powerful ways to release resistance:

  1. Appreciation. Appreciation is the absence of resistance. It raises your vibration and aligns you with what you want and the creative person you really are. If all you did was look for things to appreciate you would live a happy, joyous life.
  2. Meditation. When you relax and quiet your mind, your attention is turned away from the thoughts that hold your vibration in a lower place. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes a day of meditation to significantly improve your life.
  3. Tapping. Also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), tapping is basically acupuncture without needles. It is an invaluable tool for releasing negative emotions, letting go of old beliefs, and neutralizing the charge of unpleasant memories from your past. If you are not familiar with EFT tapping, I highly recommend taking the time to learn.

5. Stay Focused and Move Forward

To create your life deliberately and successfully, it is important to develop the ability and skill to focus your thoughts. The best way to do this is to have an alignment plan.

Alignment is the absence of resistance and gives you the leverage to create what you want faster and more easily.

Your alignment plan can include any processes that you enjoy, such as meditation, scripting, affirmations, appreciation lists, or vision boards. Anything that helps you to stay positively focused on your desires, let go of resistance, and raise your vibration.

The more you practice alignment and focus on your dream life, the faster it can come to you. You are a powerful creator and have what it takes to succeed! Move forward confidently and joyfully, and allow the most magnificent life you can imagine to unfold.

You Are The Decision Maker For Your Life

“Life is the sum of all your choices.” – Albert Camus

You know, we can have the most enlightened beliefs about life and how life works but they can remain pretty much theoretical until we have an opportunity to practice our beliefs. [YAY Contrast?]

For example, I have for many years been aware of the power of choice. I have reminded myself on a daily basis that I get to choose. I have frequently tried to convince clients that they too get to choose. Perhaps this blog post will remind you of the awesome power of choice you possess.

Why is that important? Because we create our own reality through the choices we make.

So, the day before Thanksgiving 2015 I had an opportunity to take this understanding to a deeper level. My elderly mother had an accident at home and ended up spending a week in the hospital followed by six weeks in a rehab facility. I am her primary caretaker when she needs care and this situation was very difficult for me. For one thing, it broke my heart to see my sweet mother suffering and incapacitated. Second, I was called on to make her my priority and completely shift my schedule to tend to her needs. I’m in no way complaining; just explaining.

After three days I was exhausted both emotionally and physically and I felt like I was getting sick. In meditation that Saturday morning, something wonderful and much needed happened. Like a lightning bolt, I received the profound clarity that:

I Am the Decision Maker for My Life and I Get to Choose!

In that moment, I took my power back. I was once again on top of my game, I was empowered and committed to moving forward in a state of alignment. I felt transformed and was filled with appreciation for that amazing shift.

After meditation that morning, I asked myself, “OK, then, if I’m the Decision Maker for my Life, what do I choose in this situation?” This is the list I wrote that day:

*I choose to stay well.

*I choose to BE strong.

*I choose to move through this experience with ease and grace.

*I choose to trust that everything is unfolding perfectly.

*I choose to feel good even under these conditions.

And it worked! As I moved forward, whenever I started to feel sad or overwhelmed, I simply re-affirmed these choices and clicked back into my power.

I continue to have many opportunities to remind myself that I’m the decision maker for my life. And I can tell you that accepting the power and responsibility that come with truly being the decision maker for my life aligns me with bold, empowered choices as well as bold, empowered actions.

Since you’re the Decision Maker for Your Life, what do you choose?

Imaging And Personal Power

The ultimate personal power is imaging your goal at a deep mental level, and letting the power loose. Other than that, all else is just spinning “your physical wheels”. Meditation, hypnosis, self-hypnosis, goal oriented art like vision boards are all part of it. But, if you do not have a definite goal in your mind you want to achieve, you really are just spinning your physical wheels in a shallow way.

If you genuinely want to get anywhere, you must do what counts. You must take direct and powerful deep action. You must get down to the grits and sweat of where the power is, and it is where you least expect it. It is a reserve deep within yourself, your mind, your spirit, your personal genesis. What I mean by your personal genesis is what you really do want at the deepest level. Not just desires like money, home or whatever, but your deepest goals in your heart, soul and spirit.

I can only give this advice: Persist in your visualization and do not care if it goes to plan, as long as you make the goal you want to achieve genuinely. Only the most genuine of losers want things to go too closely to plan and quit when they do not, anyway. Remember what I wrote above about “spinning your physical wheels in a shallow way”. After all, too much effort is worse than none at all at times because it is like burning out a motor in neutral with full gas applied, if you get what I mean. Meditation for the sake of meditation without a genuine goal, spiritual, physical or otherwise is like this. Why do you think so many in meditation get that powerful understanding that a goal is needed after meditating like this for many years in neutral until they realize the reality of the situation anyway?

Look, some will understand, some will not. Indeed, though, consider this, meditation without a goal of any sort except to blank the mind will just be that, a blank slate without any achievement. Personal power comes through a genuine goal and objective however you look at it. That is the reality of the situation, even God and existence have a goal: The creation of the Universe, and that is always active, do you see my point to the extreme, now. On the other hand, the devil or Satan does not have a genuine goal except to bring everything down, destroy and steal personal power. Get it? So, start by imaging your genuine goal, and persist in it as God persists in creating the universe and existence and you will achieve. Actually, you cannot help but achieve if you really want the goal because persistence is power when done right, persistence is neutral lethargy when done wrong. This article and myself, your writer encourage the right use of persistence and that wraps up this article on imaging and personal power neatly.

Learning to Enjoy Every Minute Of Your Life

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored. We often get so caught up with our busy lives that we tend to forget how important it is to truly live in and experience each and every moment. We live for the big and exciting things while appreciating little things at the same.

To be happy, we need have a quality life and a balance among work and friends and family. Happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy. With me, what you see is what you get. Yes, call me naive, but I love life. I am happy, and for that, I make no apologies.

Trust yourself. If you’re happy, if you’re feeling good, then nothing else matters. Don’t waste a minute not being happy. Be happy with being you. Love your flaws. Own your quirks.

We overlook the seemingly meaningless, for the something meaningful. And we live for the big things, and not for today. Do what you’ve been dreaming of doing. Enjoy every moment. And follow your heart completely. And do it all while you still have the chance.

It is common to assume the happiness of this life is more important that the happiness of future lives, but if we consider more carefully we shall see that the happiness of future lives must be more important because the happiness of this life is brief whereas future lives are many and long. We work so hard and put so much effort into securing happiness for ourselves later on this life, but it makes more sense to work as hard as we can to prepare for future lives.

If we are to respond to life’s difficulties with a positive or peaceful mind they would not be problems for us; indeed we may even come to regard them as challenges or opportunities for spiritual growth. So, despite the delusion of anger, for example, views other people as intrinsically bad, but there is no such thing as an intrinsically bad person. This shows that in itself ice cream is neither delicious nor disgusting.

That is why I am not affected with what other people say. I am happy because I am myself and my kids love me. I am very happy also especially when I see my old friends way back in high school. It’s easy to impress me. I don’t need a fancy party to be happy. Just good friends, good food, and good laughs.

I’m happy. I’m satisfied. I’m content. Life is beautiful. What about you?
